THE Underground Experience 6-30-21 Feature EIME:

Mistajay: What is the story and conception behind your producer name?
EIME: The word "EIME" came to me in s dream about 10 years ago: I've seen it on CD and thought it could be a good producer's name. So there is no special conception.

Mistajay: What area are you reppin? What is the hip-hop scene like there?..
EIME: I'm repping the Russian underground boom bap scene. There are a lot of talented unknown producers.

Mistajay: What are the overall influences of your music? And what inspires you?
EIME: I'm influenced by DJ Krush (his works in the 90s), Q-Tip, and totally by the early 90s hip hop. NYC boom-bap with deep samples and fat drums inspires me and I want to make this genre staying alive.

Mistajay: How do you describe your style of hip-hop?
EIME: My style is redefining classical boom-bap drums with jazzy and funky harmonies in a minimalistic conception. I'm influenced by the East Coast scene in the early '90s and I'm trying to express my vision of the early 90s boom-bap. Simply put my music is instrumental 90style boom-bap.

Mistajay: You have released 3 albums: "Roads to the Sun", "The Real Old-School Hip-Hop Vol. 1" and "The Real Old-School Hip-Hop Vol. 2". Now I'm working on mastering if "The Real Old School Hip Hop Vol. 3”, What is your best song recorded to date and why?
EIME: It's hard to tell... My favorite track is "Lovers" from "The Real Old-School Hip-Hop Vol. 1" because of the compilation of the great sample and my most popular track is "Jamaican Clouds" from "The Real Old-School Hip-Hop Vol. 2"

Mistajay: If you could work with any other 3 artists or bands who are still around and touring, who would they be and why?
EIME: I am just a small underground artist. I can only imagine it in my dreams to work with the greatest: Nas, Q-Tip, Damon Albarn. Nas is for me rapper number one. Q-Tip - one of the most talented beatmakers and Damon Albarn great producer with an independent mind.

Mistajay: After Putting hard work into a project which will be released soon vol. 4, will be released this year and you are working on the release with some underground rappers fathers of the East coast, who were rapping in 1988. What other doors do you feel that opened for you?
EIME: Hip hop and making beats is my life. I'm always working on new tracks, and I'll do more and more releases to collab with old school and modern rappers respecting classic style.

Mistajay: A lot of artists/producers come into the game with a lot of ambition but don’t spend time learning the business side. How important to you is learning about publishing and royalties?
EIME: I understand the organization of the modern music industry where good promotion is half or even more of success than the product. I don't have big money to invest so I work mostly on the quality of my music.

Mistajay: Where do you see hip hop going in 2021? How do you see yourself fitting into that?
EIME: As I see lots of classical style producers make new releases this year. Boom Bap will be actual for a long time because there are a lot of people over 30 loving this genre.

Mistajay: How has the covid 19 situations affected your plans as related to music?
EIME: I didn't perform live during Pandemic and worked in the studio. I composed 3 albums in 2020 and for me, the year was very productive.

Mistajay: What are your other future plans?
EIME: I founded the independent underground label The Real Old School Hip Hop. I'm gonna release a hundred albums of my instrumentals and collabs with rappers, organize live shows and streams. Now it's just begging.

Mistajay: Where can people find your music?
EIME: My music is available on all most popular streaming services; YouTube channel and I'm selling digital CDs on Bandcamp. Here's my link. Enjoy it!
