THIS MONTHS FEATURE IS A GROUP OF LYRISYSTS TRYING TO ESTABLISH A NEW WORLD ORDER OF HIP-HOP……..LETS WALK THRU WITH…….THE WOLFPAC (REPPED BY DWALK85)
Mistajay: What is the story and conception behind your artist/group name?
(DWalk85): The Wolfpac Consists Of Me (DWalk85) My Brother Fred Blak And Best Friend Jay Hu$tle, Me And Blak Met Jay When We Moved To North Carolina In 2003, We Basically Comparing Ourselves To The NWO Of WCW Fame
Mistajay: What area are you reppin? What is the hip hop scene like there?..
(DWalk85): We're Originally From Elizabethtown NC Although Me And Blak Are From Newburgh NY, We Now Reside In Fayetteville NC Which Is A Vibrant Scene That Can Be Better
Mistajay: What are your overall influences of your music? And what inspires you?
(DWalk85): Our Influences Are Varied, Early Death Row, Wu Tang Clan, Cash Money Records, DMX, Jay-Z, Eminem, G Unit, Little Brother And Many More I Don't Have Time To Name
Mistajay: How do you describe your style of hip-hop?
(DWalk85): Just A Collection Of All Our Individual And Group Influences Done Our Way
Mistajay: What is your best song recorded to date and why?
(DWalk85): Blak And Hu$tle Would Probably Have Their Own Answer But For Me I'd Have To Say "Uncle Face" Was The Song That Showcased What We Do As A Unit
Mistajay: I f you could work with any other 3 artists or bands who are still around and touring, who would they be and why?
(DWalk85): Again The Bros Would Have Their Own Answers But For Me I Say Little Brother Griselda And Children Of Zeus
Mistajay: A lot of artists/producers come into the game with a lot of ambition but don’t spend time learning the business side. How important to you is learning about publishing and royalties?
(DWalk85): That Is THE THING To Know And Understand On ANY Level In This Business, This Game Is Full Of Sharks And The Less You Know The More They Feast And Drag You To The Deep End, I Learn More Everyday And Help My Team To The Best Of My Abilities Keep Us Afloat
Mistajay: Where do you see the hip hop going in 2023? How do you see yourself fitting into that?
(DWalk85): It's At A Crossroads In My Opinion, Either The True Artists And Figures In The Culture NEED To Come Together And Ensure The Survival Of It Or Corporate Interest Will Continue To Exploit And Divide It Towards It's Demise, But The Influx Of Lyrical Hip Hop Artists Like Ourselves Are A VERY Positive Sign Of Things Heading The Right Way
Mistajay: How has covid 19 situation affected your plans as related to music?
(DWalk85): It Didn't Bother Our Plans, If Anything It Helped Our Creative Side More With All The Time To Just Record
Mistajay: What are your other future plans?.
(DWalk85): Just To Build The HipHopCinema Brand As Much As Possible
Mistajay: where can people find your music?
(DWalk85): You Can Find DWalk85 And Fred Blak Music On All DSPs Including Youtube, Wolfpac910 On DSPs And We Also Have A Bandcamp Page hiphopcinema.bandcamp.com
